BUILD. INNOVATE. ACCELERATE. REIMAGINING WHAT'S POSSIBLE

Self-funded holding company that builds and backs enduring AI-native businesses.

THREE PILLARS

THE NEXUS3 ECOSYSTEM

Our core mission is building AI businesses in different verticals from the ground up. But groundbreaking companies can’t grow in isolation. Every company we build is enriched and catalyzed by a shared ecosystem of talent and resources, using tech from NX3 Labs, and gaining insights and connections from our investments through NX3 Capital.

THE NAME

NEXUS3

The Intersection of Opportunity

A nexus is an intersection, a convergence point where forces meet and create something greater than any one of them alone. We sit at the center of three powerful forces reshaping entire industries:

01 / TECHNOLOGY INNOVATIONS

AI capabilities that now match or exceed human performance in knowledge work

02 / MARKET SHIFTS

Entire industries at the tipping point of mandatory AI adoption

03 / DATA ABUNDANCE

Decades of digitized industry data now finally usable by AI systems, the raw material for intelligent automation

METHODOLOGY

HOW WE BUILD COMPANIES

← BACK TO NX3

THREE PEOPLE. ONE THESIS. AN AI OPERATING LAYER BEHIND THEM.

Every Nexus3 company starts the same way: a domain expert who knows where the real pain is, an engineer who develops prototypes that can replace entire workflows, and a business development lead who turns early traction into revenue. These teams are supported by the greater Nexus3 ecosystem of experienced operators and technologists.

01

DOMAIN EXPERT

Deep industry expertise, relationships, and context that can't be faked. They know where the real pain is and they have the trust of the market to get in the door.

THE INSIDER

02

AI ENGINEER

Works closely with the business development team and domain experts to develop POCs in real time. They are constantly iterating the prototype and make use of novel tech developed within NX3 Labs.

THE TECHNICAL EDGE

03

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Finds the signals others miss. Develops relationships and understands customers in order to identify what needs to be built.

THE CONNECTOR

04

NEXUS3 ECOSYSTEM

Teams are supported by and benefit from NX3 Capital and NX3 Labs. Insights are shared, information moves fast, and mistakes are never repeated.

THE MACHINE

WHY THIS MODEL WORKS

SPEED

Small and efficient teams win when they are uninhibited by layers of bureaucracy.

LEVERAGE

Outcome-based pricing means revenue scales with value delivered. As the AI improves, margins expand automatically. That's the flywheel that makes Nexus3 companies worth building.

OUR CORE

NEXUS3 OPERATING COMPANIES

← BACK TO NEXUS3

WE BUILD THE COMPANIES. WE RUN THEM.

Nexus3 operating companies are built from the ground up as AI-native businesses. Each one is purpose-built for a specific industry vertical, powered by autonomous systems that handle the work humans used to do manually. Hexios is the first, with more companies actively in development.

Hexios HEXIOS

COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE

Your lease portfolio, fully actionable. In minutes.

Hexios extracts, reconciles, and audits commercial leases with AI so property teams spend less time buried in documents and more time recovering revenue they're owed. Managing a commercial portfolio means tracking hundreds of lease obligations, billing tenants accurately, and reconciling CAM charges, while making sure nothing slips through the cracks.

THE PROBLEM

Commercial lease abstraction and CAM reconciliation is done manually today; an error-prone, time-consuming process that leaves significant revenue on the table.

THE SOLUTION

AI agents extract, reconcile, and audit leases with precision, delivering the completed work product rather than a tool to help humans do it.

THE MODEL

Outcome-based pricing means revenue scales with the value we create for each client, and margins expand as the AI improves.

IN DEVELOPMENT

MORE OPERATING COMPANIES ARE ON THE WAY.

We are actively building new AI-native businesses for additional industry verticals. We will introduce them here when they are ready to launch.

BUILD. BREAK. LEARN. REPEAT.

NX3 Labs is the research and development arm of Nexus3. This is our Skunkworks. We value problem-solving and technological exploration. We think big and apply emerging technologies in unexpected ways. Systems and solutions developed here are employed within each of our operating companies, where they solve high-value business problems.

SOME AREAS WE'RE INTERESTED IN

01

HARNESS ENGINEERING & OPTIMIZATION

LLMs become more capable when the agents, tools, prompts, and data around them work as one system. We design and tune those interactions to improve accuracy, efficiency, and reliability.

COORDINATED INTELLIGENCE

02

MEMORY STRUCTURES & ONTOLOGIES

Knowledge graphs, ontologies, and durable memory give AI a consistent model of a business. We are building platforms that retain context and learn from past work, so they can reason through new problems with the continuity of an experienced human.

PERPETUAL CONTEXT

03

THE ECONOMICS OF INTELLIGENCE

The most valuable datasets are often too large and complex for conventional processing. We are developing efficient ways to ingest, structure, and reason across massive volumes of information, making high-quality intelligence economically practical.

INSIGHTS // FOUNDER LETTER

A LETTER FROM TIM STOJKA

← BACK TO INSIGHTS

FROM THE FOUNDER

"We're not here to sell picks and shovels to the people looking for gold. We're here to own the mines."

I've been building technology companies since before the dot-com wave.

I've seen every cycle: mobile, SaaS, cloud. Each one rewarded the people who moved early and stayed focused.

AI is different. It changes who can do what. A small team with the right systems can now deliver the output of a department. That reprices every professional services business on the planet.

We're not here to sell picks and shovels to the people looking for gold. We're here to own the mines.

The companies we build will be hard to replicate. Not because we'll move first (though we will) but because the data we collect, the relationships we build, and the systems we compound will be barriers that take years to match.

That's the bet. We're all in.

INSIGHTS // COMPANY BUILDING

THE PAINKILLER PRINCIPLE

← BACK TO INSIGHTS

THE CORE IDEA

"Build painkillers, not vitamins. Durable companies start with a painful, specific problem that customers are already motivated to solve."

When I was a teenager, my father bought me an Apple II computer.

At the time, it was a serious investment. The computer, printer, and software cost thousands of dollars. My father was a Greek immigrant who had built a manufacturing business, and he did not buy it because computers were trendy. He bought it with a very practical instruction: do something useful with it.

So I did.

At his plastics factory, engineers were spending 20 or 30 minutes at a time running calculations by hand. I started experimenting with the Apple II, taught myself enough to write a simple program, and eventually turned that same task into something that took about 30 seconds.

That was the moment I understood why technology mattered.

It was not because it was new. It was not because it was impressive on its own. It mattered because it removed real friction from real work.

That idea has stayed with me through every phase of my career: early internet marketplaces, enterprise software, energy analytics, and now AI-native company building. It is also central to how we build at Nexus3.

The tools change. The pace changes. The opportunities get bigger. But the fundamentals of building a company do not change nearly as much as people think. Durable companies tend to start in the same place: with a painful, specific problem that customers are already motivated to solve.

Put another way: build painkillers, not vitamins.

A vitamin can be smart. It can be useful. It can even be obviously good for the customer. But it is still easy to defer. When budgets tighten or priorities shift, vitamins are often the first things people push off.

A painkiller is different. A painkiller solves a problem that is urgent, expensive, and hard to ignore. It addresses something the customer already knows they need to fix.

I learned this lesson the hard way.

In energy analytics, we initially sold directly to individual businesses. The product helped companies understand their utility bills, identify savings, and make better decisions around energy spend. The value was real, but for many customers it still felt like optimization: helpful, but not always urgent.

The business changed when the customer changed.

Utilities had a much sharper problem. They needed better ways to serve large numbers of business customers, manage demand, and respond to regulatory and market pressure. For them, the same product was not a nice-to-have. It solved a real operating problem.

That shift taught me something important: company-building is not just about inventing something clever. It is about staying close enough to the market to understand where the pain really lives, then shaping the company around that pain.

This is also why I think capital should be treated as fuel, not proof.

During the dot-com era, capital was abundant. The instruction from the market was simple: raise more, spend more, grow faster, and capture the market before anyone else does. At the time, it felt rational. Everyone was moving quickly. Everyone believed the window would stay open.

Then the market turned.

IPO windows closed. Plans that looked inevitable suddenly became impossible. Companies that had been built around permanent access to capital had to face a different reality.

That experience left a mark on me. It did not make me anti-capital. Capital can be an incredibly useful tool. But it has to come in the right order. Find the pain. Prove the value. Earn the right to scale. Then use capital to accelerate what is already working.

That discipline matters even more now, because AI is creating another major platform shift.

I believe AI is on the same level as the PC, the internet, and the cloud. The long-term implication is enormous: the cost of cognition is falling. Work that once required teams of people, consultants, analysts, or coordinators can increasingly be handled by intelligent systems.

But AI does not excuse vague products. If anything, it raises the bar.

The winning companies will not be the ones that simply add AI to an existing workflow. They will be the ones that use AI to solve painful, specific, high-value problems in ways that were not possible before.

That is the conviction behind Nexus3.

We are building AI-native operating companies around real industry pain. We start with the problem. We stay close to the customer. We use technology as leverage, not decoration.

The phrase "AI-native" matters to me because it is not just about adding a chatbot or automation layer. It means rethinking how work gets done when intelligent systems can reason, coordinate, research, draft, analyze, and execute across a workflow. It means building companies where AI is not a feature. It is part of the operating model.

At the same time, the human side of company-building matters as much as ever.

My own leadership style has evolved over time. Earlier in my career, I leaned heavily on delegation. I still believe deeply in putting the right people in the right seats and giving them room to run. But I have also learned where founder judgment matters most: product, customers, and the decisions that shape the direction of the company.

The broader philosophy is servant leadership. Build around people's strengths. Give them clarity. Create a shared purpose that makes the work matter beyond the numbers.

That last part matters.

When I think about legacy, I do not think first about valuations or exits. I think about my father. At his funeral, person after person came forward with stories about how he had helped them, given them a chance, or offered a kind word when they needed it.

That is the kind of legacy that lasts.

The measure of a builder is not only what they build. It is how they build, who they build with, and what they leave behind in people.

Markets will change. Technologies will turn over. AI will reshape the cost structure of entire industries. But the fundamentals stay stubbornly human:

Solve real pain. Keep learning. Lead with character. Build something useful enough to last.

PHILOSOPHY

VITAMIN TO PAINKILLER

← BACK TO NX3

"We don't build vitamins, products that are nice to have but easy to ignore. We build painkillers. Products that solve real, urgent problems and become essential to how our customers work."

THE DIFFERENCE

The difference comes down to process. We enter a domain, build a thesis, and develop a working prototype, but that's just the starting point. The real work is understanding how our customers actually solve problems today, then iterating until our product becomes more valuable to them over time.

ENTERPRISE MARKETS

In enterprise markets, that means navigating multiple stakeholders, learning how they operate, and building software that makes their workflows fundamentally more efficient. It's not about adding features; it's about eliminating pain.

THREE DECADES OF PROOF

This is the approach we've applied across three decades of company building, from the early days of ecommerce to energy data analytics to AI-driven vertical software. Each time, the principle is the same: get deep into the domain, find the real pain points, and build products that customers can't live without.

THE NEXUS3 STANDARD

VITAMIN

  • Nice to have
  • Easy to ignore
  • Adds convenience
  • Optional in the workflow

PAINKILLER

  • Solves a real, urgent problem
  • Becomes essential over time
  • Eliminates pain from the workflow
  • Customers can't live without it
